The benefits of feeling grateful are astounding. The simple act of appreciation throughout your day can make a huge difference and relieve stress in even the most trying circumstances. Research has shown that consciously becoming aware of those things that we are thankful for, even small insignificant things such as a delicious meal, a beautiful song, or kind words can provide an energy boost and release endorphins in the brain that cause us to feel good and even lower the risk for heart attack.
